Brownies

Today is Julie's 10th Birthday....she wanted to take treats for her class and requested brownies, so I tried this recipe. It was super easy.

Chocolate Chip Brownies

  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 3 cups white sugar
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder and salt.  Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, sugar, vanilla and eggs.  Fold in the flour mixture until the ingredients are just combined.  Stir in the chocolate chips.
  4. Line a 9x13 pan with foil, and spray with cooking spray.  Spread the batter evenly in the pan and bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes back mostly clean (brownies should be very moist).
